Xyun Blak, pronounced: ˈzīən blak, is an apparel and lifestyle brand that focuses on styling its customers alter ego. The line is stylish, sexy, and edgy. Xyun Blak sells clothing & accessories for women from sizes 0 to 24. 

 the idea

When Ebany Hamlin was only a college student she had the idea to start a clothing line for women with unique and edgy styles. She referred to this style as an alter ego and wanted to encourage others to let their alter ego show.

 the process

DZN was tasked with bringing Ebany’s idea to life. DZN was responsible for designing a custom and edgy logo including all branding and marketing, product design, social media design, web design, and photography. Ebany partnered closely together to ensure that every detail was accounted for.

brand strategy

The brands tagline “Connect wit Your Alter Ego” was the basis of the brand’s strategy. That phrase targeted the brand’s goal and gave us direction at every turn.

Ebany wanted to keep the brand design simple and striking. The logo, base color palette, and imagery helped convey the brands personality.

“I have known Diamond for over 18 years. She has always been passionate about design, even before she founded Diamant Dezign in college. It has been amazing working with her through out the years! I tried to make my first website over 9 years ago and my branding, photos, and thoughts were all over the place. Diamond helped me organize my site content, design my logo, come up with my brand strategy, and so much more. I could go on and on about how talented and insightful she is! Needless to say I have gone to her over and over again since my first site and I would recommend her to anyone else who asks. I just can’t see myself going to anyone else.
